Our Services
CRM Selection
Whether your organisation is selecting a constituent relationship management (CRM) solution for the first-time or is upgrading something already in place, our expert consultants will work with your team to find the perfect solution to meet the requirements of your non-profit organisation or university.
FundraisingForce will assist your charitable organisation to:
- Identify and document organisation-wide requirements.
- Craft a tender for proposals.
- Manage the demonstrations.
- Serve as a bridge between your organisation and the suppliers.
The end result is an ability for your organisation to focus on fundraising and management of your non-profit organisation while being guided through the very difficult and important process to select a solution to meet your organisation-wide requirements.
FundraisingForce has no affinity to any supplier or product in the marketplace. We truly are the independent and objective partners to help you find the best fit for your organisation.
Database Analysis
Not every organisation seeks to replace their constituent relationship management (CRM) system. Some simply need a “tune up” of their CRM solution in order to realign it to meet the non-profit organisation’s business objectives.
Your CRM is the most important asset your organisation owns. Receiving an external, independent analysis is the best way for your organisation to determine if you are making the best use of your CRM. Our firm has experienced consultants who have conducted more than 750 of such analyses over the last several years and has expertise to identify areas for improvement, opportunities to implement best practices, and ways in which your organisation may increase fundraising and decrease costs.
Fundraising Review/
Strategic Planning
Fundraising Review
Have you ever looked at something for weeks, months, or even years, and failed to see the issues or opportunities for improvement? An objective, outsider evaluation of your overall fundraising program is often times the best way to analyse what is working well, which programmes deserve an “early retirement” and where there is a chance for revitalisation or new programmes to take their place.
Fundraising Strategic Planning
A fundraising review is the first step in an overall strategic planning process. A fundraising strategic plan (FSP) is a three-year roadmap to guide your organisation toward a destination. A FSP is a vital component, which identifies the overall fundraising goal of the organisation, breaks the goal into specific strategies by fundraising area, and offers key objectives, tasks, and assignments at the programmatic level. Every person in your organisation will participate in the process to receive total buy-in from your team.
The FSP will include:
- A review of fundraising history, including key income streams and associated expenses.
- A review of gaps across the organisation.
- A comparative analysis to show how your organisation stacks against industry peers.
- Goals, objective and assigned tasks by fundraising area.
- Tools to measure the outcomes of the FSP quarterly, annually and across the lifespan of the plan.
Fundraising Program Management
Whether your organisation lacks fundraising expertise, has experienced a recent staff vacancy, or needs an extra set of hands to achieve fundraising objectives, FundraisingForce has experienced fundraisers who may assist in:
- Direct marketing.
- Regular giving.
- Major Gifts.
- Trusts and Foundations.
- Corporate Partnerships.
- Special Events.
- Donor Stewardship/Donor Care.
Mystery Shopping
Ever wonder how your organisation measures up against industry best practices? FundraisingForce offers a mystery shopping service to gain an independent evaluation of your organisation focused on hey areas, such as:
- Donation/gift giving experience.
- Receipting and acknowledgement processes.
- Repeat solicitations of donors.
- Donor care and stewardship.
FundraisingForce has mystery shoppers how will serve as donors of your organisation and conduct evaluations of multi-channel approaches over a timeframe of months or years. Organisations receive a report post-campaign, as well as an annual report, which offers organisation management insight and objective evaluations.

Video is a fantastic partner when making an ask
After watching the Houston Texan’s (and former Wisconsin Badger) JJ Watt lead a fundraising effort for the victims of Hurricane Harvey, the impact of video cannot be underestimated. It is obvious video is a fantastic partner when making an ask. Over the last ten days, JJ Watt , the US football hero, has used video […]
If it is worth publishing, it is worth making an ask for a donation
Perhaps it’s an Australian non-profit thing. I receive countless magazines, annual reports, impact reports, and newsletters from charities across the country. Each publication is beautifully crafted. Yet, the publications lack one thing. They lack a request for a further donation. Why publish an annual report, a magazine, a newsletter, or anything without including a request for […]
Make your supporter survey user friendly – for you and the supporter
It’s supporter survey season. I will receive dozens of supporter surveys over the next four to six weeks. Make your supporter survey user friendly – for you and for the supporter. Too often charities only worry their supporter survey will be well received by the donor. While this is critical, think also about designing it […]
CRM Implementations – your IT department cannot do it solo
What’s the number one mistake you can make when implementing your constituent relationship management (CRM) system for your charitable organisation, school, or university? The number one mistake is to leave it to your Information Technology (IT) department to implement it. Your IT department cannot do it solo and in a silo. Earlier this week I […]
Excellent examples of EOY receipts and donor care
Last week I wrote a blog post about End of Year (EOY) receipting and I suggested some staff of organisations prefer a root canal over their EOY receipt process. I received interesting feedback about that blog post and I think it resonated with more than a few readers. I have received some excellent examples of […]
CRM loses the new car smell quickly. Is a change worth it?
FundraisingForce receives a telephone call or web enquiry every four days from an organisation seeking to find the “perfect CRM”. They’re using The Raiser’s Edge, eTapestry, ThankQ, iMIS, Salesforce, or one of the other lesser known solutions. “It’s time to change”; the current system “does not work”, “it is not meeting our needs”, “it is […]
Face to face canvassers – are they engaging the wrong people?
Walking out of Sydney Central station on any given day, I witness a collection of face to face canvassers who are raising money for a variety of charities. I watch them stop people in their early 20’s and ask myself – are they engaging the wrong people? I never get stopped. Is it the fact […]
Is your EOY tax receipt process as painful as a root canal?
Those who think the month of July offers a bit of a reprieve from the flurry of activity at tax year-end are incorrect. The month of July involves ensuring your generous supporters have accurate end of year (EOY) tax receipts. Some charities find their end of year tax receipt process to be as painful as […]
Happy New Year, Australia! End of financial year
It’s new year’s eve. An end of financial year. Happy New Year, Australia! Many of us are receiving eMails and last minute pitches from companies and charities reminding us it is the end of the financial year. These eMails state it is our last day to purchase this item or that service and it’s our […]
Fundraising Effectiveness Project – what is it and is it worth launching in Australia?
The Fundraising Effectiveness Project – what is it and is it worth commencing in Australia? In 2006, the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute established the Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP) to conduct research on fundraising effectiveness and help nonprofit organisations increase their fundraising results at a faster […]
